As Head of Geomatics, you have responsibilities such as:
Lead and Develop the Geomatics Department: Ensure high-quality geomatics working in all projects
Manage Equipment and Software: Procure and oversee surveying equipment, software, and consumables.
Project Management and Administration: oversee successfull Initiate and deliver pertinent data, conduct fieldwork, and handle reporting and archiving.
Personnel Management: Develop and manage resource plans and promote professional growth within the team. Undertake project management and administrative duties
Foster a Positive Work Environment: Contribute to a culture of well-being, mastery, and development.

As the Head of Geomatics, you will be affiliated with our headquarters in Vesterålen, but other locations for a permanent workplace, such as Mo i Rana and Oslo, are also possible. For the right candidate, a home office solution may be relevant. The position involves travel.
Your daily tasks as Head of Geomatics:
- Manage and develop the geomatics environment at LNS
- Responsibility for the development and maintenance of management systems within the geomatics field, ensuring good procedures for storing geomatics data in our projects
- Procure and manage surveying equipment and software
- Purchase consumables for geomatics personnel
- Adhere to LNS’s leadership requirements and values and adopt new knowledge and technology
You are self-motivated, proactive, and systematic in your work and can inspire your colleagues to deliver high quality in their areas. You have a forward-looking perspective, good communication skills, and see the benefits of collaboration across disciplines and technologies for the joint development of LNS into the future.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant education in geomatics or surveying, preferably a bachelor’s degree or higher
- Good leadership skills
- Experience from the construction and civil engineering industry
- High computer literacy and use of programs such as Gemini, Beaver Control, TBC, Leica Infinity, and CloudCompare
- A driver’s license class B is required
- Proficient in both Norwegian and English as working languages
